Ranikhet is one of the most breathtaking and fantastic town in the Almora district of Uttarakhand. The name of this town comes from the very famous lady legend RANI PADMINI. The hill station is Ranikhet, literally meaning – Queens Land. Ranikhet is a cantonment town and is the home for the Kumaon Regimental Centre & Naga Regiment and is maintained by the Indian Army. The main city of Ranikhet is fairly crowded but the military area offers serene environment.     Jhula Devi shrine is famous for bells which are numerous. Devotees gather here to fulfill their wishes. The temple is dedicated to Hindu god Lord Rama and goddess Durga.

    Shitlakhet is famous for food orchards and herbal plants which is used to make various medicines. There is Syahi Devi temple located at a distance of 10 kilo meter from Shitlakhet. There is a "Khoont" village ten kilo meters in the foot of Shitlakhet.

    Chaubatia It is situated at a distance of 10 kilometer from Ranikhet. There are botanical gardens and Fruit orchards located here, undertaken by the government.
